ChineseNorthAmericanChildrensBooks

I'd like to figure out good ChildrensBooks that cover different aspects of the Chinese-North American cultural experience.

With the help of a librarian at the BerkeleyPublicLibrary, I found a number of books:

It's interesting that a number of these books are illustrated by the same author/illustrator: [WWW]Grace Lin

Some amazon listmania lists seem helpful here too:

A [WWW]BerkeleyPublicLibrary catalogue search (for Chinese Americans -- fiction, confined to the Central Branch's children section) brings up books available to patraons of the BPL.

I just started to look for Asian/Chinese-Canadian resources, such as [WWW]this one.

Living in Berkeley, I might look into the [WWW]Storyreading group as a way of finding local folks who care and know about children's books.

Possible places to buy books

Note about ugly title of this entry

I was loathe to write ChineseAmericanChildrensBooks because I wanted to write about both Chinese-Anerican and Chinese-Canadian books.
