Chris Ashley is the Manager of New Program Development at the InteractiveUniversity. His weblog is
a place to work, nothing fancy
I have enjoyed Chris'
About a leaf from Tao-chi's "Album for Taoist Yü"
Chris has
set up an account on CornerHost (where I have raymondyee.net hosted. He wants to know how to host MoinMoin. I've just posted MyMoinNotes, which might be useful to folks.
I'm puzzled how he got MovableType up and running without a shell account.
Chris writes:
It wasn't that hard, really, though it did take me about three hours altogether with a little trial and error. I
downloaded and unpacked MT to my desktop, then followed the
instructions, which meant creating a directory on my server in the right place and editing paths in in the MT files. After ftping the files up to the server (being careful to upload files as ASCII and Binary, as needed) I had to change permissions on a few directories. It was frustrating at times, but now on reflection it was pretty straightforward.
Now if I can just get my wiki going.
