Meet Geekman, Aquapets: Thousands of toys unveiled at T.O. fair:
-

Not an obvious contender for the affections of the pre-teen set, said the Geekman's inventor, Kris Schantz.
-
While Schantz insists Geekman is a composite of all the most common characteristics of the modern geek, the resemblance is uncanny.
Schantz and his plastic creation share spectacles and pocket protectors as well as startlingly similar haircuts and attire.
The inventor also shares Geekman's techno-nerdy background, working in information technology at Web firms for five years until coming up with his toy idea a couple of years ago.
That when Schantz set up Happy Worker Inc., his Toronto-based toy company, and began working with artists and developers to bring his vision of a geeky superhero to life.
Geekman, which will sell for about $20, comes with all the accessories you might expect for a nerdy superhero action figure — geeky glasses, handheld computer, notebook computer, coffee mug and wristwatch.
