How to get XML out of Melvyl

One can get an XML representation of Melvyl in a two step process. I've not worked out all the details yet, but here is an example of looking up Robin Lakoff's Language War by ISBN (taken from the [WWW]Berkeley Summer Reading List.

First, a straight web-based search of melvyl:

To get XML out is a two step process. First, do the query

from which one extracts the set_number. In an earlier search that I already did, I got set_number 242758. (This set number is not guaranteed to persist beyond a certain length of time....) One can then retrieve the results with the set_no:

I've cached the results to MelvylSystem/SampleOutputXml1

The result set seems to be in OAI MARC, which according to [WWW]An XML Schema to represent MARC records, should be superceded by MarcXml. (I'll have to check to see whether we can something other than OAI MARC out of Melvyl....)
