YasujiroOzu

The PacificFilmArchives is presenting a major retrospective of Yasujiro Ozu's films from November 23 to Dcember 21, 2003. I'm likely to see quite a few of these films.

I've not seen any of Ozu's films but am excited by the prospect of diving into a new director's works as I have done with AkiraKurosawa and RainerWernerFassbinder. I'm currently watching Tokyo Story, one of Ozu's masterpieces. (See [WWW]Guardian review)

I'll want to get my hands on DonaldRichie's Ozu (PN1998 A3094 R5 -- Berkeley main lib)

The BerkeleyPublicLibrary stocks [WWW]four of his films.

A [WWW]San Francisco Chronicle article on Ozu

Given my current intense interest in YasujiroOzu, how had I missed [WWW]ozuyasujiro.com, a "non-commercial online resource celebrating Ozu since 1998"?
